The inaugural clinic was held on September 7, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Knox County Public Defender’s Community Law Office at 1101 Liberty Street, Knoxville TN 37912. Eighteen attorneys volunteered at the clinic and approximately twenty veterans were served.

The KBA’s Annual Supreme Court Dinner was held on September 7, 2016 to honor and to thank the members of the Supreme Court for their important service to our community. The featured speaker was G. Douglas Jones who personally led the team of prosecutors and investigators in the re-opened historic "cold case" of the 1963 bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL.
