The Family Law Section is open to any attorney practicing family law. The monthly meetings focus on local and state-wide issues relevant to the family law practitioner and provide a forum for discussion. Several times a year the Section sponsors topical CLE programs for family law practitioners.

Family Law Activities
The Family Law Section meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 12 noon at The LunchBox, 607 Market Street. The section has speakers on family law topics or provides the opportunity to discuss issues relevant to family law practice. To have your name added to the section list, please contact the KBA Office at 522-6522.
Meet Your Circuit Court Div. IV Judicial Candidates
The Family Law Section's next scheduled meeting will be on Tuesday, February 18th from 12 Noon – 1:00 p.m. and will be held at the East Tennessee Historical Center at 601 S. Gay Street. Please join your fellow section members for an informal meet & greet with the four Circuit Court Division IV Judicial Candidates – Daniel Kidd, Patti Jane Lay, Greg McMillian and David Valone. Each candidate will be given a few minutes to discuss why they have chosen to run for the judicial seat and will be available during the hour to answer any questions. We encourage everyone to brown bag your lunch and take this informal opportunity to meet your judicial candidates.

The Family Section CLE program will be held from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. in Chancery Court, Part I, City County Building. The program features Sarah Y. Sheppeard, Sheppeard & Mynatt, P.L.C. This program will bring you up to date on the latest case law and statutory developments that have an impact on your family law practice. Sarah Sheppeard will analyze how recent decisions and new laws will impact your clients.
