Guidelines for Professional Courtesy and Conduct
The KBA first adopted its Guidelines for Professional Courtesy and Conduct in October 2002. These non-mandatory Guidelines, which are applicable in both litigation and non-litigation settings, embody the ideals of professional courtesy, conduct, and cooperation for members of the Knoxville Bar. In November 2018, the Board adopted revisions to the Guidelines after receiving recommendations from the KBA Professionalism Committee and input from members.
Greater Knoxville Business Journal
When the Knoxville News Sentinel started publishing the Greater Knoxville Business Journal, the Knoxville Bar Association was invited to provide a column on a current legal topic. More than 100 columns have been published by KBA members on topics of interest to the local legal community.

In an effort to connect with our members more broadly through social media, the KBA staff has recently collaborated to launch a Knoxbar Facebook page, Instagram account, LinkedIn page, and revamp our Twitter account. If you are an avid user of social media, it is our goal to start a conversation with our members as we become well-versed and established in this area. We won't clutter your news feed but we will share stories of local lawyers with you through pictures and shout outs to volunteers. You'll also find invitations to social events and job postings. We always welcome comments, feedback and posts, so hope you will join us in this new social media adventure.
