Summary

The CLE Program "Bifurcated Fees and Unbundling of Services in Chapter 7: Access to Justice" was originally presented and recorded on September 10, 2019.

When a Chapter 7 client needs to file a petition to receive the protections of the automatic stay but cannot afford the full Chapter 7 fee pre-petition, how may bankruptcy lawyers comply with ethics and code requirements to bifurcate the Chapter 7 fee and unbundle Chapter 7 services? Join United States Bankruptcy Judge Suzanne H. Bauknight on a discussion of the pitfalls of bifurcation and unbundling as well as options for successfully providing access to justice to clients who cannot afford to pay the full Chapter 7 fee before filing the petition.

Speaker: Hon. Suzanne H. Bauknight, U.S. Bankruptcy Court

(If you have any questions about the program please contact the speaker at Suzanne_Bauknight@tneb.uscourts.gov)

Approved for 1 hour of "Online" Dual CLE Credit.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY: Please verify when you register for an online CLE course that you have not previously attended the program during the live presentation or the video replay series offered twice a year. The CLE Commission will not approve CLE credit for the same course even if it is taken in a different calendar year.
