Summary

The CLE Program "Cannabusiness – What Lawyers should know about Cannabis Legalization" was originally presented and recorded on September 25, 2019.

The cannabis industry is set to become big business in Tennessee in 2019. This program will offer a brief overview of the current state of the law, including the recently passed federal 2018 Farm Bill and Tennessee’s Agricultural Act of 2014. The program will also provide insights from local attorney turned fledgling hemp farmer Dan R. Pilkington. You will gain a basis understanding of the legal implication of growing, marketing and selling hemp which you can pass on to clients interested in getting into the cannabis industry. You will also learn the future of cannabis in Tennessee, including the possible timeline for legalization of medical and recreational marijuana.

Speakers: Dan Pilkington, Watson, Roach, Batson, Rowell and Lauderback and Jesse West, LMU Duncan School of Law

(If you have any questions about the program please contact the speakers at dpilkington@watsonroach.com or jwestboy2@gmail.com)

Approved for 1 hour of "Online" General CLE Credit.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY: Please verify when you register for an online CLE course that you have not previously attended the program during the live presentation or the video replay series offered twice a year.
