The KBA Solo Practitioner & Small Firm Section will host a virtual section meeting on Thursday, April 29, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. via Zoom.

This Section evolved from the recognition that many solo and small firm practitioners desired and at times needed the camaraderie, intellectual stimulation, and informational exchange that attorneys generally find in larger law firms. By having consistent networking and fellowship opportunities, the Section has evolved into a collegial organization resembling a “firm,” with specialists in various fields both willing and able to offer assistance to other Section members.

Law firms of five or fewer attorneys comprise over one-third of the KBA membership, and these attorneys collectively comprise “Knoxville’s Largest Law Firm.” The Section works hard to develop high-quality CLE programs featuring topics that will help solo/small firm attorneys enhance and improve their practices and assist them with law office management challenges.

The goal of the Solo & Small Firm Section is to provide and encourage networking opportunities and CLE. These are challenging and transitional times for lawyers and law firms. There is little doubt that many solo and small firm practitioners have particularly felt the pinch. Solo and small firm lawyers are known for their resilience to survive in the midst of challenges. It’s more important than ever to be on top of your game and unite with your peers for support to come through this rocky time. There is no greater opportunity to do just that than to participate in the KBA Solo Practitioner & Small Firm Section.
