1:00 PM - 4:30 PM ET
The CLE program "Sharpen Your Skills: Tips and Techniques from Seasoned Trial Lawyers" will be presented as a Webinar presentation on Friday, February 26, 2021, from 1 - 4:30 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). The program is approved for 3.25 hours of general "distance learning" CLE credit.
With so few cases going to trial these days, attorneys find it increasingly difficult to get actual courtroom experience. This program will help lawyers with limited litigation experience and those who want to sharpen their skills with some tips from some seasoned local trial attorneys. Learn the secrets of their success by demonstrating trial skills and techniques they’ve used and know to be the most effective way to improve the likelihood of success at trial. Our experienced presenters will discuss current COVID-19 restrictions, jury selection, direct and cross-examination, presentation of evidence, expert testimony, and opening and closing arguments. No matter how long you have practiced, come to this seminar to gain the advantage you need in the courtroom.

1. You can join this meeting with almost any device. For mobile devices, find the Zoom Meetings on the App Store or Google Play Store and pre-install. For a desktop or laptop computer, the link to pre-install is https://zoom.us/download. You can then leave the meeting and then re-join again at the appointed meeting time. Absent a computer or mobile device, you can just join with a telephone call (audio only). Still, the best meeting experience by far is to use a computer or iPad, so you can see others and what is being presented.
2. For a computer/mobile device connection: If you don’t already have the Meetings app installed, you will be prompted to do a quick installation when you click the meeting link. Once installed, you don’t need to “sign-in” or “create an account”; you just need to join the meeting. Only the host of a meeting has to have an account. Once you join with your computer, you will be asked if you want to use the computer audio or dial-in by telephone for your audio. You can use computer audio if you have a headset or are on a mobile device or laptop with a camera/mic – webcams are encouraged; otherwise, dial in via telephone for your audio, following the on-screen instructions.
3. If you encounter any technical difficulties during the meeting, and it is persistent, it is sometimes best to leave the meeting and then rejoin it. If you encounter any difficulties or have questions as a result of the test above, just contact KBA Office well before the meeting to resolve them.
