This series will help ensure that our members have an opportunity to gather with other lawyers in the same practice area to discuss pressing issues and share resources. We also hope that the discussion will identify areas that may experience a boom once a version of normal life resumes. The fee is $20 or FREE for members not seeking CLE credit. This is an interactive discussion so members will be asked to keep their webcam on and join the conversation.

Join in the discussion about emerging challenges and opportunities in the area of Criminal Defense. This series will allow members of the same practice area to discuss pressing issues and share resources. Our panelists will lead a discussion on what aspects of Criminal Law have been impacted by COVID-19 and identify areas that may experience a boom once a version of normal life resumes.

ZOOM INSTRUCTIONS

1.  You can join this meeting with almost any device. For mobile devices, find the Zoom Meetings on the App Store or Google Play Store and pre-install. For a desktop or laptop computer, the link to pre-install is: https://zoom.us/download. You can then leave the meeting and then re-join again at the appointed meeting time. Absent a computer or mobile device, you can just join with a telephone call (audio only), but the best meeting experience by far is to use a computer or iPad, so you can see others and what is being presented. 

2.  For computer/mobile device connection: If you don’t already have the Meetings app installed, you will be prompted to do a quick installation when you click the meeting link. Once installed, you don’t need to “sign in” or “create an account”, you just need to join the meeting. Only the host of a meeting has to have an account. Once you join with your computer, you will be asked if you want to use the computer audio or dial in by telephone for your audio. You can use computer audio if you have a headset or are on a mobile device or laptop with camera/mic – webcams are encouraged; otherwise, dial in via telephone for your audio, following the on-screen instructions.

3. If you encounter any technical difficulties at all during the meeting, and it is persistent, sometimes it is best just to leave the meeting and then rejoin it. If you encounter any difficulties or have questions as a result of the test above, just contact the KBA Office well before the meeting so that we can resolve.
