Proposed Rule Changes- ADM2018-00844

Posted on: May 9, 2018

ADM2018-00844 - The proposed change to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 25, § 6.0l(d) designates the Board of Professional Responsibility staff and resources to assist with TLFCP. The second revision to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 25, § 9.02(a) would remove the requirement that claimants provide TLFCP with their social security number. The proposed change to§ 13.01 would grant discretion to TLFCP to extend the limitations on the amounts of reimbursement. The revision to§ 18.01 would clarify that no lawyer may charge or accept a contingent fee or a fee in excess of $500.00 for representing a claimant. Finally, housekeeping changes are reflected in§ 3.01, 4.04 and 10.04.
