Thomas Arthur Hodge - In Memoriam

Thomas Arthur Hodge

Thomas Arthur Hodge, age 77 of Knoxville died suddenly on August 9, 2017. He was an Eagle Scout, a 1958 graduate of Central High School, and a graduate of The University of Tennessee and the UT College of Law. Mr. Hodge had extensive experience in all aspects of U.S. and foreign intellectual property law including prosecution, licensing, patentability, validity, registrability and infringement opinions and litigation and was currently an attorney with Baker Donelson Law Firm. He served as in‐house patent and trademark counsel for Eastman Kodak, Tennessee Eastman, S.C. Johnson & Son, Oscar Mayer and General Foods.. He was a member of Fountain City United Methodist Church, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Volunteer Ministry Center for 2017, President of Belmont West HOA, and President of Christian Homebuilders Class at Fountain City United Methodist Church where he enjoyed teaching classes. He was also an avid Vol fan. Mr. Hodge was preceded in death by his parents Arthur William Hodge, Sr. and Mary Boy Hodge, and his niece Angela Marie Hodge. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Judy Edenfield Hodge; children Michael Thomas (Lynn Liao) Hodge, Stephen Andrew (Marina Hernandez) Hodge; grandchildren James, Henry, Annie, and Allison Hodge, Alejandro, Andrew, and Santiago Hodge; brothers William B. (Iris) Hodge, Sr., and Arthur W. (Brenda) Hodge, Jr. Additional survivors nieces and nephews Vicky Bass, Billy, Rick, and David Hodge, and Doug and Dan Hurst.
