Robert Lee Vogel - In Memoriam

Robert Lee Vogel

Robert Lee Vogel, age 56, passed away at his home on June 4, 2016. He graduated from UT in 1983 with a Bachelor’s degree in English. He graduated from Rutgers Law School and was licensed in Tennessee in 2004. Bob was an Army veteran, and served during Desert Storm. He was stationed at the Defense Language Institute where he learned Russian. Bob was a stock and commodities broker for Morgan Stanley and later taught sales techniques and compliance guidelines. He taught English, Literature, and Writing to middle and high school students in New Jersey and taught at a community college in Delaware. Bob was an avid reader, and author and poet, and he sang and played multiple instruments. He also loved nature, and liked to hunt. He was ranked nationally in Archery competitions in the 1970s. Bob’s biggest joy in life was watching his children succeed.
