The dedicated members of the Barristers Hunger and Poverty Relief Committee are constantly assessing the needs of local charities and families, and each month they gather to discuss ideas and opportunities to serve the Greater Knoxville community. A spring professional clothing drive, a winter coat drive and a school supplies drive all help local people in need. Volunteers donate their time throughout the year and serve approximately 1,200 meals to the elderly as part of the Meals on Wheels Program. End of the year activities includes an annual Food Drive to benefit Second Harvest and the Angel Tree Program.

Knoxville Barristers Annual Canned Food Drive
The 2020 Canned Food Drive to benefit Second Harvest of East Tennessee took place over November 9-30 and included 15 local firms. Participating teams in the Knoxville Bar raised $25,739.99 in this year's Canned Food Drive! Because of your generosity, we far exceeded our donation goal of $16,500. This total will provide 77,219 meals for hungry individuals and families in East Tennessee through Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee.
THANK YOU to each of the teams who participated in the food drive, and a special congratulations to Brock Shipe Klenk for donating the most meals per employee this year!
