Law Practice Today Webinar Series 

The CLE program "Mobile Attorneys (and the tech and vendors that enable them)" will be presented as a Webinar presentation on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 12 - 1 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). The program is approved for 1 hour of dual "distance learning" CLE credit. 

Apart from Lincoln Town Cars, attorneys who practice on the go leverage technology and vendors who support how they do business. Claiming to have a better work-life balance and higher profit margins than the rest of us, who they affectionally refer to as “suckers,” Mobile Attorneys are definitely in vogue. Join Sean Martin for an entertaining primer on how they do what they do.

Bio: Sean J. Martin is a partner at Martin Heller Potempa & Sheppard, PLLC in Nashville. His practice is divided evenly between family law and personal injury. He is also the co-founder of Time Miner, a retroactive billing platform for lawyers who bill by the hour. Sean is an advocate of #legaltech. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with others and is grateful to the bar associations across the country who provide him the opportunity to do so. Sean also enjoys hearing from people curious about how technology can improve their practice.

ZOOM INSTRUCTIONS

1.  You can join this meeting with almost any device. For mobile devices, find the Zoom Meetings on the App Store or Google Play Store and pre-install. For a desktop or laptop computer, the link to pre-install is: https://zoom.us/download. You can then leave the meeting and then re-join again at the appointed meeting time. Absent a computer or mobile device, you can just join with a telephone call (audio only), but the best meeting experience by far is to use a computer or iPad, so you can see others and what is being presented.

2.  For computer/mobile device connection: If you don’t already have the Meetings app installed, you will be prompted to do a quick installation when you click the meeting link. Once installed, you don’t need to “sign in” or “create an account”, you just need to join the meeting. Only the host of a meeting has to have an account. Once you join with your computer, you will be asked if you want to use the computer audio or dial in by telephone for your audio. You can use computer audio if you have a headset or are on a mobile device or laptop with camera/mic – webcams are encouraged; otherwise, dial in via telephone for your audio, following the on-screen instructions.

3. If you encounter any technical difficulties at all during the meeting, and it is persistent, sometimes it is best just to leave the meeting and then rejoin it. If you encounter any difficulties or have questions as a result of the test above, just contact KBA Office well before the meeting so that we can resolve.

Reservations canceled less than 48 hours before the program are subject to the penalty of the entire amount. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another individual.
