The KBA Barristers Hunger & Poverty Relief Committee will host the annual School Supply Drive Event, "Brews for Backpacks", on Tuesday, July 25 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Xul Beer Co. (213 E 5th Ave.) 

"Back to School Bundle" donations will benefit ChildHelp Foster Family Agency of East Tennessee. Your donations will be used to purchase a pencil box filled with supplies, so that East TN children can go back to school in August excited and prepared for the classroom. 

Individuals or firms simply wishing to donate may purchase Back to School Bundles for $10 each. Make checks payable to "Knoxville Barristers" and designate "School Supplies Drive" in Memo Line.

We will also be accepting in person donations of any school supplies. 5 school supplies valued at a total of $10 = 1 free pint of beer. At the request of ChildHelp, we are not asking for backpacks this year.

Ways to Donate 

1. Purchase a Back to School Bundle during registration for $10 anytime until July 25 and receive a FREE Pint of beer at the July 25th event. 

Individuals or firms may purchase Back to School Bundles anytime until July 25 for $10 each. Each Back to School Bundle will be used to purchase a pencil box filled with supplies. Make checks payable to Knoxville Barristers and designate School Supplies Drive in Memo Line. (1 Beer ticket per $10 purchase).

2. Bring 5 school supplies (at a total value of at least $10) listed below with you to the July 25th event and receive a FREE pint of beer. Please still register for the event for planning purposes.

Those who cannot attend the Brews for Backpacks event can still donate:

1. Purchase a Back to School Bundle

Checks, made payable to the Knoxville Barristers, can be mailed or delivered to the KBA office. Payment by card can be made here.

2. Donate the listed school supplies

The school supplies listed above can be delivered to the KBA office until July 25.
