The Knoxville Bar Association serves the public and its close to 1,900 members with five full-time staff and a part-time LRIS Assistant. Duties such as continuing legal education, publications, legal placement, and lawyer referral are just a few of the activities handled on a day-to-day basis by our hard-working and dedicated staff.

Bio:
Tasha C. Blakney joined the staff of the Knoxville Bar Association as its executive director in January of 2024 after practicing law in Knoxville for nearly 25 years. A past president of both the Knoxville and Tennessee Bar Associations, Ms. Blakney has extensive leadership, management, and bar association experience. Before joining the KBA, Ms. Blakney was a co-founding member of the Knoxville firm of Eldridge & Blakney, PC, where she practiced as a litigator and a Rule 31 listed general civil mediator. She is licensed to practice before all courts of the State of Tennessee, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. A graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law, Ms. Blakney lives in South Knoxville with her husband, Michael. She is a stepmom to two daughters and has four rescue dogs, and two cranky cats.
