David Rudoff, a nationally recognized criminal defense lawyer from Chapel Hill, N. Car. has been featured in “The Staircase” , a 13-episode documentary series recently released on Netflix. It is about a homicide case where David was the lawyer for the accused and the case covers about a 15-year period from the event to the resolution of the prosecution. David will be presenting about the documentary, and the important issues it raises relating to criminal justice reforms in Knoxville on Thursday, October 25 at the Bijou Theater. It will be an evening of discussion into the intimate details of the case and the series. David will discuss the conflicts he wrestled with in determining whether to let the filmmakers follow him, difficulties his client experienced; and David’s approach to trial preparation, as well as his insights into the most curious and contentious issues in the case, including the blood spatter evidence, the bisexuality and Germany evidence, the discovery of the blow poke, and the genesis of the Owl Theory. It should be a very thought provoking evening. Tickets now available at https://knoxbijou.org/event/?id=780949. Download Poster.
