The Lawyer Referral &
Information Service
Join the LRIS Panel Today!
As a KBA member, you are invited to join the Lawyer Referral & Information Service.
Why participate?
Most people don't know who to call for legal
problems. The Knoxville Bar Association Lawyer Referral & Information
Service is a trusted source for referrals. Your participation assures the
public that they will receive a referral to a capable and experienced
attorney.
Your Referrals, Our Business.
LRIS was founded in 1958 as a non-profit public service of the Knoxville Bar
Association. The service is designed for those in the community who can pay
normal and standard attorney fees for legal services. LRIS continues to grow
and receives over 6000 calls per year. The LRIS panel members have generated
attorney fees exceeding 2.1 million dollars over the last 3 fiscal years.
Target Marketing
When you join LRIS your practice benefits from the LRIS’ marketing and
advertising programs. Currently, LRIS reaches potential clients through
advertising in the Yellow Pages and in various telephone directories
throughout the state. Our online presence attracts clients nationwide.
Clients are referred to us through a variety of sources including the
courts, Office of the Attorney General, employee assistance programs and
other bar associations. As a LRIS panel member you are also invited to
participate in the Speakers Bureau. This is a great opportunity to become
acquainted with local businesses and individuals in our community.
