Thank you for your interest in finding a position through the Knoxville Bar Association's Legal Placement Service. The Legal Placement Service offers positions for attorneys, paralegals, legal secretaries, and other legal support staff.  All candidates seeking a position must first complete the LPS online candidate application.  After reviewing your application and credentials, if your qualifications meet the placement needs of LPS employers, the KBA will contact you to schedule a time for you to complete the skills test (applies to staff positions).  We are always seeking individuals with a strong work history and experience of at least two years in the legal profession.  Get started today by completing the LPS candidate application.


Finding a position through the KBA Legal Placement Service is now easier than ever with our online “fill-able” version of the LPS application.  No more handwritten applications will be submitted to future employers!  Our goal is to make the process of submitting your personal information more professional and online accessible. The online version benefits our candidates by providing:

·         The ability to go back to edit your information at any time.

·         A new searchable database.

Please Note:
  • All job candidates are required to have at least two years of experience.
     
  • There is no fee to the candidate. All fees are paid by the employer.
  • All support staff candidates must complete a series of computerized skills testing to be eligible for the Service. Please contact the KBA Office at 522-6522 to schedule an appointment.
  • If you are an attorney, you are not required to test.

  • All information submitted by the candidate will be supplied to potential employers.
  • All interviews and candidate information are strictly confidential.
     
  • You must complete all sections of the LPS Application. "See Resume" is not acceptable!
