The KBA Professionalism Committee held its annual fall hike to scenic Max Patch on Saturday, October 22. The hike has been an annual tradition of the KBA Professionalism Committee since 2001.

On September 8, the KBA Corporate Counsel Section gathered for a quarterly meeting at Tin Roof in Rocky Hill. Local attorney Jeff Taylor, formerly in-house at Bridgestone Americas (Brazil), and now working in international sales and marketing with DeRoyal Industries, was available to answer questions about practicing law in a foreign jurisdiction. Included in the photos are Bryan Johnson (SmartBank), Stephanie DeBusk (DeRoyal Industries), Nick McCall (TVA), Ned Morgan (Voices Heard Media), David Headrick (Adams Law Firm), Sheila Needles (Vowell & Associates), and Marcia Kilby (DeRoyal Industries).

The Knoxville Bar Association Supreme Court Dinner was held on Wednesday, August 31 at the Knoxville Convention Center. More than 360 KBA members and their guests gathered to honor the Tennessee Supreme Court and listen to remarks by Senator Lamar Alexander. A special thanks to KBA member Ann Short for taking photographs at the event.

On Friday, August 26, the Knoxville Bar Association sponsored the first ever Seersucker Flashmob. More than sixty folks participated in the event and we are grateful to everyone for their support.
- Barristers Mock Trial Competition - 2011

The Barristers Mock Trial Committee would like to thank all the volunteers who helped make this year's District 10 & 13 High School Mock Trial Competition a success. The competition was held on February 12th and 19th and featured seven teams from Knox and Anderson County High Schools vying for the opportunity to advance to the state tournament. The final round, presided over by Knox County Criminal Court Judge, Bob McGee, pitted long time rivals, West High School versus Bearden High School, with West High School prevailing.
