Duration: 3 Hours
The CLE Committee is proud to present a seminar entitled "Federal Court Practice - Bench Bar Conference" on Thursday, May 16, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the U.T. Conference Center.
Join all of our Federal Court District Judges & Magistrate Judges for an update on local rules, recent trends, and practice tips that will help you successfully litigate in Federal Court.
Appearing in the Federal Court poses unique challenges. The rules of the game are different. Having a clear understanding of the rules and procedure is critical to your clients’ success and this is your opportunity to learn from the judges and magistrates. This seminar is designed to acquaint the practitioner with some of the nuts and bolts of federal practice with an emphasis on practice in the Eastern District of Tennessee.
This is an invaluable, information packed seminar that will teach you the court’s perspective on what works and what doesn’t work, mistakes to avoid, and important issues to which you should pay attention. Federal District Court judges and Magistrate judges will teach you about motions, procedures, best practices, discovery, and pre/post trial issues. In this seminar you will learn exactly what is expected of you, what you can expect from the court, and how to ensure you best represent your clients.
