The CLE Committee is proud to present a seminar entitled "Tennessee Workers’ Compensation "Improvement" Act of 2013 - The Changing Landscape" on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.

Make no mistake, workers’ comp law in Tennessee is about to change . . . significantly. While we have yet to see the final bill, we do know that the proposed changes include a new independent panel that would oversee the entire claims process. Lawyers on both sides have indicated that this will be the broadest reform to Tennessee’s workers’ compensation law since 2004, one that purports to improve Tennessee’s business climate. As for how all of this will affect the practice and the rights and obligations of employers and employees, "it is far too early to tell." This CLE will highlight some of the most important changes in benefits and administrative procedures and how current claims will be handled.
