On Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. the KBA CLE Committee will present ”Going Solo - Challenges to starting a law practice" The program was originally presented live during the KBA Law Practice Expo on April 20, 2012.

The video will be shown at the KBA office and a moderator will be present so the program has been approved for live CLE credit (instead of distance learning or online CLE credit which is limited to 8 hours per year). The program has been approved for 1 hour of dual CLE credit.

The program is designed to give practical insight into the setting up of a solo or small firm practice minimizing the time it takes, avoiding errors and ethical pitfalls. New attorney Tripp White and CPA Janice Smith will offer practical information that will benefit lawyers leaving existing firms to set up their own practice and also lawyers going solo right out of law school. It will examine topics from office location, practice areas, client relations, accounting and tax for law firms and risk management. The topics are designed so you never need say, "Gee, I wish I had thought of that!”
