Event Description: Exploring East Tennessee CLE Series- One Night At The Museum Join us for good times and fellowship The one-hour CLE program will cover historic zoning ordinances and commission regulations and the often delicate balance needed to address interests of preservationists, property owners and city officials. Knoxville attorney Arthur Seymour Jr. will emcee the program which will feature Kaye Graybeal, Historic Preservation Planner at the Metropolitan Planning Commission, Lisa Hatfield, Attorney for the City of Knoxville, and Charles Wagner, Vice Chairman and Legal Counsel for Jewelry Television who represented Cherokee Country Club in their zoning battle that took them to the Supreme Court. Novice historians and others won’t want to miss this event! Members are encouraged to invite friends and family to join us. The KBA’s "One Night at the Museum" program will be entertaining and educational for lawyers and their guests. 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. 1 hour CLE Program 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Enjoy a special night just for KBA Members and guests at the East Tennessee Historical Center. Members will learn about area history, have a chance to view current exhibits and visit the original Federal Courtroom. Attendees will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer, plus have access to all of the recently renovated exhibits as part of the ticket price. Cost: $ 60 KBA Members $ 85 Non-KBA Member (attorney) $ 40 Guest of KBA Member (non-attorney) $ 40 KBA Law Student Members (additional fee for non-KBA member law students) Fee includes CLE program and beverages and hors d’oeuvres at the reception. Approved for 1 hour of general CLE credit. Optional Membership Fee Available for the East Tennessee Historical Society ($ 35 for individual membership and $ 45 for a family membership).
