Event Description: Exploring East Tennessee CLE Series- Sports Law Join us for good times and fellowship As part of the Knoxville Bar Association’s Exploring East Tennessee Series, we are pleased to invite members to join us for a Sports Law CLE at Neyland Stadium on Friday, August 3, 2012. We have an outstanding line-up of former college players who are now lawyers who will participate in this program: Juvenile Court Judge Tim Irwin, is a former UT and Minnesota Vikings great will be our Master of Ceremonies; Brad Lampley, another former UT lineman, Nashville lawyer and Chairman of the Music City Bowl will speak on the legal ramifications of a college football bowl event; and Chad Speck, two-time captain for the Clemson University football team, UT College of Law graduate and President of a3, a local sports management company, will speak on the legal aspects of sports agency. This CLE program has been approved for 2 hours of general CLE credit and we are certain that you will be both educated and entertained. Since football season is right around the corner, local lawyer Tim Priest who provides color commentary for the Vols, will give a pre-season look during the reception. Vol fans and others won’t want to miss this! 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. 2 hour CLE in the Wolf Kaplan Center at Neyland Stadium 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. Reception in the East Club with Tim Priest’s Football Season preview Cost: $ 60 KBA Members $ 85 Non-KBA Member (attorney) $ 40 Guest of KBA Member (non-attorney) $ 40 KBA Law Student Members (additional fee for non-KBA member law students) Fee includes CLE program and beverages and hors d’oeuvres at the reception. Free parking is available in parking lot G10 or if you are interested in purchasing a parking permit for the parking lot at Staff Area 9, a $5 fee must be paid in advance in order to receive the permit prior to the program. Approved for 2 hours of general CLE credit. Cancellation/Refund Policy Reservations canceled less than 48 hours before the program are subject to the penalty of the entire amount.
