From the Cosby Campground:

Hen Wallow Falls Trail: 2.2 miles to the falls

To carpool, meet at the Cracker Barrel at Strawberry Plains Pike (I40 East Exit 398) by 8:30 a.m. (Hey, we want a big breakfast before a 4 mile hike, right?). Or you are welcome to meet at 10:00 am at the picnic shelter at the Cosby campground.  Bring some food to share and we’ll picnic at the campground after the hike! Non-hikers can tend the coolers and start a fire for an afternoon picnic/weenie roast.

Directions to Cosby Campground:

Take I40 east toward Asheville

Exit at the Foothills Parkway (Exit 443)

Turn left on state road 321/32 (The actual town of Cosby is to the right, which is the wrong way).

Stay on 321/32 for a little over 2 miles

When 321 and 32 split  - KEEP GOING STRAIGHT ON state road 32 (Not on 321, which turns right toward Pittman center and Gatlinburg)

Stay on 32 for about 1 mile – be looking for the “Cosby Campground” sign on the right

Turn right onto the Cosby Campground road and drive to the picnic area
