This will save on costs, make the system more efficient, and increase safety. In addition, Attorneys will be able to use the system for confidential video conferencing with their clients or witnesses in the prison system across the state. The CLE program on December 18th will be a training on the use of the system by the technicians from Nashville.=0D=0ALearn about the areas of legal practice that have grown to rely on video conferencing (VC) including the taking of depositions, communicating with clients via secure audio/visual systems, the courts’ use of video for violent offenders and using video to increase capacity and efficiency. For attorneys who are already engaged in video conferencing this program will build on their knowledge and provide them information on the latest in developing hardware and software technologies than can assist them in building an effective video conferencing program.=0D=0ASome of the topics to be discussed include:=0D=0A• How lawyers can take depositions, schedule and conduct hearings more efficiently. =0D=0A• How records of client-lawyer discussions can be secured via video recording and archiving. =0D=0A• How videoconferencing helps accelerate cases through the system.=0D=0AApproved for 1 hour of dual CLE credit.=0D=0AThis program is sponsored by the KBA Criminal Justice Section of the Knoxville Bar Association.
