www.knoxbar.org officially launches July 1, 2010

The third generation of the Knoxville Bar Association web site is now in place.  Activation occured July 1st, completing a yearlong redesign spearheaded by KBA staff and experienced local website programmers and designers.  The goal of latest version of www.knoxbar.org has been to make a vast array of information and products accessible to our members and the public at large.  In addition, extensive attention has been devoted to maintaining a site that utilizes the latest in online security applications.

Redesign goals included improving search results and e-commerce transactions, enhanced browsing and searching of CLE programs and events, and upgrades to Committee and Section areas.  In addition to greater ease in navigation – a feature that will be consistent throughout the implementation of additional components of the KBA web site in the future – members will notice better browser performance, printability and accessibility support.

Many of the content management and backend features, as well as other enhancements over the previous architecture, may not be apparent to the layperson, but members definitely will experience a different look and feel.  Extensive effort has been devoted to highlighting as many components as possible on the homepage, thereby creating pathways to information that are more intuitive than previous versions of the web site were capable of providing.

Much has changed since the KBA introduced its first web site in 1998.  Your feedback and comment is always welcomed.
