As a service to those in our community who are searching for a mediator, the Knoxville Bar Association has added a Mediator Profile Section to our website. 

This will be a tremendous service to anyone looking for a mediator because our Profiles will be searchable based on the mediator's subject area experience and the mediator's qualifications (Rule 31 Civil, Rule 31 Family, Arbitration, Federal Court).  If a KBA member is trying to agree on a mediator with an out-of-state attorney, the search will be made much easier by using the Mediator Profiles listed on the KBA website.  Imagine selecting 3 mediators for consideration and asking the opposing counsel to choose a mediator from that list of three.  Since the Mediator Profiles include all of the relevant details needed to identify the mediator best suited to help the attorneys mediate their dispute, the selection process should be easy.

The section will help mediators highlight their qualifications and should be helpful to both attorneys and the general public in trying to find a mediator.  Fees for the Mediator Profile listing will be $100 annually for KBA members (July 1 – June 30) and $150 for non-KBA members.  Non-attorney mediators may participate as long as they have been approved as a Supreme Court Rule 31 mediator.  Mediator Profiles may be added anytime during the year and the fee will be prorated.
