Pictorial Register 2014
Pictorial Register planned for Fall 2014
This rich and important tradition continues because of your support and participation. The KBA will be publishing a Pictorial Register of our lawyer members this fall. Without the participation of every one of our members, it is an incomplete record. We are very excited to be partnering with John Black Photography on our Lawyers' Pictorial Register and we are confident that you will be pleased with the changes to the publication.
The 2014 Pictorial Register will have a brand new look, complete with high
resolution color photographs. This is the opportunity you were looking for! Get
new photos taken of each of the lawyers in your firm so that you have a uniform look for each picture. A discounted rate will be offered to law firms as new members join your firm.
Note: Only licensed attorneys who are KBA members can participate in the 2014 Lawyers' Pictorial Register. Unfortunately, we are not able to permit law students or those who sat for the July 2014 to participate. It was impossible to have photos taken in mid-October and have the book published and be available for distribution at the KBA's Annual Meeting in December. The KBA has negotiated a discounted rate for attorneys who are licensed after we publish the Pictorial Register to have their photo taken by John Black Photography. The fee is $100, which is half of the normal fee John Black Photography charges for professional headshots.
The KBA has selected John Black Photography, an experienced professional photographer, to work on this project and members will select their proof before they leave the studio. John Black Photography is conveniently located downtown
in the Daylight Building, at the corner of Walnut Street and Union Avenue. The studio will be set‐up for 15 different days to provide members with ample opportunities to participate. There are appointments during lunch, in the evening and on Saturday. There is a complimentary make-up artist available on two days. Please arrive in a timely manner. We are photographing 60 to 80 people per day. If you arrive late John Black Photography cannot promise to have you on your way within 45 minutes.
PLEASE NOTE: If you need to reschedule or cancel you will incur a $20 charge.
Because we have contracted with John Black Photography to use their space, and to avoid long wait times, the photos for the Pictorial Register are handled by appointment only. We can't stress enough that everyone needs to be punctual to their appointment. With photographing 75+ people a day, there is not time built in for those that are running late. We ask that you arrive a few minutes early for your scheduled appointment and we will make every effort to ensure that you are on your way within 45 minutes.
We work hard to maintain appointment time commitments and we request that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you are running more than 10 minutes late, you should plan to arrive at the end of shooting on the day you were originally scheduled. When a KBA member does not show up for their appointment, another member loses an opportunity to be photographed at that time. John Black Photography has committed 15 full days to this project and the KBA will have to pay for the appointment, even if no one shows. If you are unable to make up the appointment at the end of the day you were originally scheduled, and need to make an additional appointment, you will be billed $20 for the extra appointment.
