As a service to the community, the Knoxville Bar Association has compiled handbooks to assist the public in understanding more about the law. Obviously, no publication can answer all questions asked but these handbooks explain various processes, describe services and ways to access them, and point out areas which may require specific legal expertise.

These handbooks, prepared by members of the Knoxville Bar Association, have been issued to inform and provide general information, not to advise. If you have a specific legal problem, you should not try to apply or interpret the law without the aid of an attorney who knows the facts because the facts may change the application of the law.
