Bankruptcy Overview

Find a Knoxville Bankruptcy Lawyer

The Lawyer Referral & Information Service (LRIS) program, a non-profit public service of the Knoxville Bar Association, can help you find an experienced, qualified bankruptcy attorney who is right for you.

Getting the Right Lawyer is the first step in getting a Good Result. The number of home foreclosures, loan modifications and bankruptcy filings in the U. S. are increasing every month.  There are alternatives to bankruptcy that you should consider. Financial counseling is available through Consumer Credit Counseling. They provide budget counseling and voluntary repayment programs between clients and creditors.  They can be contacted at 1-800-251-2227.

Additionally, you may want to consult with your creditor about working out a payment plan instead of filing bankruptcy. Most creditors would rather work something out than force someone into bankruptcy.

If you feel that bankruptcy is unavoidable or if you're unsure and want to talk to an experienced bankruptcy lawyer about your rights and options, contact us right now for a referral to a qualified Knoxville bankruptcy lawyer.

How much does a referral cost?

Our service and your first 30 minute consultation with one of our prescreened panel attorneys is absolutely FREE.

How does the LRIS work?
