Since 1994, the members of the KBA have been responsible for building six Habitat homes in the Knoxville area. This is an accomplishment that all of us can be proud of.  The Board of Governors, on behalf of the KBA, has committed to partnering with Habitat once again to build the seventh KBA Habitat house in 2013.

This particular endeavor is somewhat unique because it is a community-based, hands-on project for which we as members of the KBA, are responsible. It is truly a grassroots effort that is driven by the members of the KBA both from a financial and volunteer standpoint. The KBA should be very proud of the fact that there are six families in the Knoxville community that are living in homes they own as a direct result of the efforts of the members of the KBA. We certainly want to see a seventh home and family added to that list.
