The Work Life Balance Committee has continued to promote education in the legal community regarding the issues of lawyers who wish to maintain a healthy balance between work and family (including not only those with spouses and/or children at home, but also those who are caring for aging parents), as well as outside interests (participation in community organizations, hobbies, fitness, etc.). The committee holds periodic lunch time meetings, in which various issues such as flexible work time arrangements, initiatives to commit to the retention of women in the profession and rights available to new parents are discussed.
