The Judicial Committee coordinates with and provides support to the members of the Judiciary and the various Courts with a goal to constantly enhance the interactions and relationships between the local Bar and Judiciary. As part of the committee's work, we seek areas of concern and interest to the Judiciary where we might be of service in exploring and seeking solutions to those areas of concern and to identify and support items of interest to the Judiciary. The Committee coordinated the Judicial Roundtable luncheon at the Law Practice Today Expo during the first half of the year. The Judicial Roundtable Luncheon was once again well-attended and has become one of the more popular events of the KBA year. During 2012, the Committee communicated with the local trial court judges to determine how the KBA can be of assistance to the local judiciary with potential projects, including a KBA forms library. The Committee coordinated with the KBA to publish online in a member access only portion of the KBA website an initial set of suggested pleadings and checklists.
The Judicial Committee meets at 4 p.m. every month on the second Thursday of the month at the Downtown Grill & Brewery (upstairs) - 424 Gay Street.
