The Knoxville Bar Association is the
premiere professional membership association for
lawyers in the East Tennessee area. Our 1,400+
members represent the broadest spectrum of the legal
community, from senior partners at Tennessee largest
law firms to solo practitioners, to corporate
counsel to government attorneys and law students.
Beginning in February, 2008, the Knoxville Bar
Association monthly publication DICTA will change
from a newsletter to a magazine. The new DICTA
magazine will include articles about changes in the
law, profiles on area attorneys and judges,
important court decisions, and other topics of
interest to our readers. Each issue will include a
feature article on a substantive law topic and
several new columns including “What it Means to Be A
Lawyer” and “Law Office Management Tips”.
Advertising opportunities are available on a
first-come, first-served basis and a sample of the
new magazine and the advertising contract has been
included in this packet. Four color full page ads
are available but because of the premium location
and visibility offered at this level, I do not
anticipate them to be available long.
DICTA, is currently read by some of the most
educated, affluent and influential readers in the
East Tennessee area. Your organization has the
opportunity to reach every attorney in Knoxville and
the surrounding counties (more than 2500). We also
include law office administrators and bar leaders
from other counties in our circulation. Our
readership gives you the reach and access you need
to gain exposure and to succeed. In addition to our
circulation of approximately 1,600, each issue is
posted on our website.
On
behalf of the Knoxville Bar Association, I invite

more effectively meet the needs of lawyers and legal
professionals throughout East Tennessee.

Once you commit to
advertising in DICTA, your name will be added to our Advertisers
database. Information
about networking with the bar, exhibiting opportunities and other advertising
venues will be forwarded periodically to you.
According to Public
Law 103-123 and 103-329, advertisements in the areas
of travel, insurance and financial institutions are
prohibited in publications using third class
non-profit rates. Advertisements in those areas may
be included in DICTA, but are subject to higher
rates due to the increase in postal costs.
TERMS: All rates
are net. Payment must accompany ads for first-time
advertisers. Accounts are to be paid in full within
10 days from the date of invoice. KBA reserves the
right to reject or cancel any advertising which does
not conform to the standards of the publication.
Advertisers and advertising agencies assume
liability for all content and also assume
responsibility for any claims arising therefrom made
against us. Our acceptance of advertising does not
relieve advertisers or agencies from liability. All
advertisement cancellations must be received in
writing.

The annual Attorneys Directory is our most visible
and beneficial publication to the Knoxville legal
community. The directory contains contact
information for all attorneys and judges in Knox
County, including members and non-members of the
Knoxville Bar Association. Over 1,800 attorneys and
judges consult our directory several times each
business day. We want you to become an affiliate
