KBA
Criminal Justice Section Social Hour
The KBA Criminal Justice Section represents all
attorneys and judges who participate in the criminal
justice system here in Knox County. The Section
plans to be more active this year and we are
starting things off with a social event at the
Bistro downtown, planned for June 20, 2008 from 2:00
p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Our State judges have agreed to
attend and will close courts that afternoon to
promote everyone's involvement. Light appetizers
will be provided, and a cash bar will be available.
We hope this fun event will be a
precursor to productive meetings later this year
where criminal justice practitioners can discuss and
resolve issues important to the courts and justice
system. We also hope that this event will draw in
attorneys who are not yet KBA members and who might
otherwise be left out of discussing these issues.
So make plans to have a little fun
and an ice cold beverage with those you only see in
the courtroom. And if you know attorneys who are not
KBA members, encourage them to join us!
